Cheltenham Festival tickets 2019: How to see this year's horse racing on Gold Cup Day and Ladies Day

The Cheltenham Festival 2019 is almost upon us, with over a quarter of a million people expected to attend the four-day event in the Cotswolds.

Between Tuesday 12 and Friday 15 March, 28 races will be run, including 14 grade one events – none more prestigious than the final day’s Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The festival kicks off with Champions Day on the Tuesday, featuring the Champion Hurdle, followed by Ladies Day on the Wednesday, where the Champion Chase is the headline race.

St Patrick’s Thursday features the Stayers’ Hurdle, before the festival concludes with the sport’s blue ribbon, Gold Cup Day.

Here’s everything you need to know about how you can attend the festival…

How do I get tickets?

Individual tickets are available to three different enclosures – Best Mate being the cheapest, followed Tattersalls and then Club enclosure. Each has access to various facilities and areas of the racecourse, with price varying by day.

There are also hospitality packages available.

How do I get to the racecourse?

Cheltenham Spa is the closest railway station, and a shuttle bus runs between here and the racecourse, passing through the town centre.

You can also purchase car parking passes near the course, while National Express run a coach service from several destinations around the country.

What time are the races?

There are seven races on each day, the first of them going off at 1:30pm and the last at 5:30pm, with the main feature race on each day at 3:30pm.
