ENVOI ALLEN, twice successful at the Cheltenham Festival, is under consideration for the Queen Mother Champion Chase at this year’s meeting.
Owners Cheveley Park Stud believe Henry De Bromhead’s star has the jumping speed to take on Shishkin and Energumene.
The stud’s Richard Thompson said: “We may go for the Champion Chase as he’s quick and he jumps quickly so it could well suit him.
"He will also have a Ryanair entry and we will look at the situation nearer the time. I’d say it’s 50-50.
“The Champion Chase is a fantastic race this year. Shishkin looked superb the other day so we will have our work cut out against him.”

Cheveley Park have a formidable hand in all the Grade One contests at this year’s Festival. Expectations are high about Allaho repeating last year’s success in the Ryanair.
“We’d thought about the Gold Cup, but he will go for the Ryanair,” said Thompson.
“The form of his win in the John Durkan is looking good.”
Thompson has high hopes that A Plus Tard can better his second in last year’s Gold Cup.
“We will go there with a great chance, as long as the race pans out for us,” he said.
Arkle Chase jolly Ferny Hollow, unbeaten in his two chases, also gets the thumbs up. But Sir Gerhardwill have a fight on his hands in the Supreme.
“He’s up against Jonbon and Constitution Hill but we’ve got a lot of faith,” added Thompson who has not ruled out a crack at the Champion Hurdle with Quilixios, winner of last season’s Triumph Hurdle.
