Cheltenham Festival - LIVE!
It’s day two at the Greatest Show on Turf after the action on the track lived up to expectations on day one. Rachael Blackmore made history with Honeysuckle in the Champion Hurdle, the red-hot bankers Appreciate It and Shishkin took the first two races and even a popular grey hit the target in Vintage Clouds.
Today saw Put The Kettle On claim victory in a dramatic Queen Mother Champion Chase for Aidan Coleman and Henry de Bromhead, beating Nube Negra and favourite Chacun Pour Soi as Willie Mullins’ wait to complete a full set of Festival wins continued.
The action kicked off with the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle, which saw Bob Olinger, trained by De Bromhead and ridden by Blackmore, live up to the tag of favourite before Monkfish triumphed in the Festival Advisory Novices' Chase and 33/1 shot Heaven Help Us won the Coral Cup.
Elsewhere, Tiger Roll reclaimed his crown and become the first three-time winner of the Cross Country Chase.
The 11-year-old claimed the prize in 2018 and 2019, but last season's attempt at a third consecutive win was foiled by the French-trained Easysland, who was well beaten today.
