Cheltenham Festival - LIVE!
The Greatest Show on Turf wrapped up for another year on Friday, headlined by the always thrilling Gold Cup.
The feature race capped off what has been a fantastic week in the Cotswolds, which saw Rachael Blackmore make history as the top jockey of the meet and the bookies take a battering.
Gold Cup favourite Al Boum Photo was vying for a third success - matching Best Mate’s record - but it was 9-1 shot Minella Indo, ridden by Jack Kennedy, who won to seal the ‘Holy Trinity’ for trainer Henry de Bromhead.
Blackmore was second on stablemate A Plus Tard.
The action kicked off a couple of hours earlier with the Triumph Hurdle, which - who else - Blackmore won with Quilixios.
33-1 shot Belfast Banter triumphed in the County Hurdle, while Vanillier gave Gavin Cromwell his second winner of the week in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle.
Porlock Bay took a narrow win in the Festival Hunters’ Chase, before victory for Colreevy in the Mares’ Chase.
Willie Mullins sealed the top trainer title ahead of De Bromhead after Galopin Des Champs’ success in the last race of the Festival - the Handicap Hurdle.
