Cheltenham Festival 2019 races: Dates, tickets, preview, TV channel, live stream and more

The biggest week in National Hunt horse racing is almost upon us as punters, trainers and jockeys alike prepare for the Cheltenham Festival 2019.

The four day event at Prestbury Park in the Cotswolds features 28 races, including some of the sport's most famous contests, such as the Champion Hurdle and the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Ireland's Gordon Elliott will be looking to retain his top trainer title from 2018, while Davy Russell will be attempting to do the same with his top jockey crown.

When is the Cheltenham Festival?

This year's Cheltenham Festival kicks off on Tuesday, March 12, with Champions Day and runs for four days, concluding with Gold Cup Day on Friday, March 15.

Each day features seven races, the first setting off at 1:30pm GMT and the last at 5:30pm GMT.

How can I follow the Festival?

Every race will be shown live on Racing TV, while ITV will also have daily coverage of the bulk of the races, including the main feature contests.

Online viewers can stream the Festival live on the ITV website, or through the ITV Player app. You can also follow every race LIVE with Standard Sport's blog.


How can I get tickets?

Tickets are available on general sale for every day of the Festival, with a range of prices for the course's various enclosures. Full information can be found here.
