Ch’tibello produced a cracking run to win the County Hurdle for Harry Skelton on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival.
The 12/1 shot, trained by Skleton’s brother Dan – who also won this race last year - powered up the hill to take victory from Nicky Henderson’s We Have A Dream (14/1).
Countister stayed on well for third, while favourite Whiskey Sour finished a clear fourth under Ruby Walsh but was never in contention.
Other well-fancied horses disappointed, with Monsieur Lecoq running poorly after unseating Lizzie Kelly on the way to post, while Éclair De Beaufeu fell when well placed at the last.
Last year’s winner Mohaayed made much of the early running, but faded well before the finish.
The win came after a tragic start to the day, with Triumph Hurdle favourite Sir Erec suffering a fatal injury down the back straight.
