Chelsea XI vs Sheffield United: Confirmed team news, starting lineup, latest injuries for today

With N’Golo Kante and Billy Gilmour both out injured, Frank Lampard hands Jorginho his first start since the restart as Chelsea take on Sheffield United this evening.

The midfielder did well when he came in from the cold as a late substitute in Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Crystal Palace and has impressed Lampard with his professionalism.

The fit-again Mateo Kovacic is on the bench, along with teenage midfielder Lewis Bate and striker Michy Batshuayi, who is seemingly back in contention having not featured since football's return.

Still no recalls for defensive duo Marcos Alonso and Antonio Rudiger after their nightmare in the defeat at West Ham earlier this month.

Fikayo Tomori is close to fitness but is not involved for Chelsea.

Sheffield United XI: Henderson; Basham, Egan, O'Connell; Baldock, Berge, Norwood, Osborn, Stevens; McBurnie, McGoldrick

Subs: Lundstram, Sharp, Jagielka, K Freeman, Robinson, Mousset, Moore, Rodwell, Zivkovic.

Chelsea XI: Kepa; James, Christensen, Zouma, Azpilicueta; Barkley, Jorginho, Mount; Willian, Abraham, Pulisic.

Subs: Caballero, Rudiger, Alonso, Bate, Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic, Hudson-Odoi, Giroud, Batshuayi.
