Chelsea XI vs Manchester United: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for FA Cup semi-final

Chelsea will be without midfielder N'Golo Kante for their FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United this weekend.

Frank Lampard was earlier in the week hopeful that the Frenchman, who has been absent from Chelsea's past three games with a hamstring injury, would recover but has now been ruled out of Sunday's Wembley clash.

Youngster Billy Gilmour had been stepping up to fill the role in midfield but has been sidelined for up to four months having undergone knee surgery. Jorginho, previously out of favour with his future in question since the restart, will likely step in at Wembley.

"N'Golo Kante won't be fit for the match, he's still not right. So he's out," Lampard confirmed in his pre-match press conference.

"Other than that we have a few people with a few little niggles that I'll monitor over the next 24 hours or so, and then we'll be ready to go."

Another player working to build up their fitness at Chelsea's Cobham training ground is new signing Hakim Ziyech.

The winger, signed from Ajax, can play no role in games until the new season but has been training with his new teammates this week and has settled well.

"Hakim has been here for the week, trained a couple of days on his own and then integrated a bit with the team so very well," said Lampard.

"The lads have welcomed him well, settled in and chatting - forming those new relationships in the early stages and more importantly for him getting himself fit, nice to take part in training and also get some physical work because he hasn't played or trained in quite a while."
