Fellow new signings Mamadou Sarr and Dario Essugo are also on the Chelsea bench at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, along with returning loanee Andrey Santos, who joined up with the squad alongside Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez following international duty in South America.
Enzo Maresca goes strong for this opening game, with Caicedo in midfield with Romeo Lavia, and Fernandez on the bench.

Robert Sanchez remains the first-choice goalkeeper despite a concerted effort to sign Mike Maignan, and gets the nod behind a strong back line.
Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Jackson make up the front four.
Chelsea will be wary not to underestimate a LAFC team boasting the likes of familiar face Oliver Giroud.
The Blues then face Flamengo on Friday before an easier-looking test against ES Tunis on June 25.
