Eden Hazard returned as a substitute as Chelsea named an unchanged side from their most recent Premier League clash for the visit of Crystal Palace.
Hazard was available following a back problem, but boss Maurizio Sarri resisted the temptation to tinker with the line-up which secured a 4-0 win at Burnley.
Max Meyer started in place of Jordan Ayew for Palace in a side showing one change from their league draw with Arsenal.
