Chelsea XI vs Arsenal: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Carabao Cup

Chelsea face Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday - (ES Composite)

Estevao is on the bench for Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Arsenal tonight after spending time in Brazil on compassionate leave.

The teenager missed Saturday’s 3-2 win over West Ham as he flew to his homeland to attend to a personal matter.

Liam Rosenior said after the game that he and the club would not “put pressure on him” to return before he is ready.

Rosenior has named a strong team against Arsenal, having started key players such as Marc Cucurella and Joao Pedro on the bench against West Ham.

However, captain Reece James is not in the matchday squad and Cole Palmer is named on the bench with Andrey Santos handed a start in midfield.

The game comes too soon for injured Tosin Adarabioyo, but he was back in training on Friday doing light ball work and running.

Chelsea are without winger Jamie Gittens, who went off after less than half an hour against West Ham.

Speaking after the game, Rosenior said: “Jamie unfortunately felt his hamstring. I don't know the extent of the injury. It's a real shame for him because I wanted to give him a start and I wanted him to show what he could do.

“So for him to come off after 25 minutes is disappointing for him and hopefully it's not too bad.”

Filip Jorgensen missed the West Ham match through a minor injury and does not return to the squad for the Arsenal game.
