Chelsea were on Monday handed a major boost as N'Golo Kante was declared fit to face Ajax.
The Blues host last season’s Champions League semi-finalists at Stamford Bridge tomorrow aiming to take a stranglehold of Group H with both sides on six points along with Valencia, who play Lille.
Frank Lampard’s side won the reverse fixture 1-0 in Amsterdam without Kante, whose season has been blighted by a series of injuries.
Kante has been given an extended period of rest after picking up a groin problem- following knee, ankle and hamstring complaints- but has returned to full training and Lampard confirmed he is now ready to return to action.
“Kante is in the squad so he is fit and it looks nicely like the injury and the few niggles he was getting have cleared up and we have been able get some work into him,” he said.
“It was always stop-start before that. He is in the squad and available.
‘N’Golo is huge for us. He is one of the best midfielders in the world and has been for a few seasons, so I won’t complain about the nice problem I have with him fit.
“I want competition, we are playing every three or four days at the moment and I am going to need all of the midfielders and in different positions as well."
Antonio Rudiger is set to see a consultant for an update on his rehabilitation, but Andreas Christensen and Ross Barkley joined Kante in training.

Predicted XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Tomori, Zouma, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho, Mount; Willian, Abraham, Pulisic
