Chelsea have won the Europa League after beating Arsenal 4-1 in the Final in Baku on Wednesday night.
After a dour first half in Azerbaijan, Chelsea were ruthless after the break as Olivier Giroud, Pedro and Eden Hazard put their London rivals to the sword as Maurizio Sarri won his first ever trophy as a manager.
It was goalless at the break after an even first half. Chelsea shaded the chances, having forced Petr Cech - who was playing his last eber professional game - into two smart saves, but neither side had been able to create any clear-cut openings.
However, Chelsea took the lead in the 49th minute through Giroud's 11th goal of the competition. The striker got ahead of Laurent Koscielny to steer Emerson's cross past Cech with a perfectly-placed header.
The Blues doubled their advantage 10 minutes later. Ainsley Maitland-Niles lost the ball in the midfield and Hazard was set free down the left, from where he picked out Pedro who swept in a sublime first-time finish.
And it was 3-0 in the 65th minute as Arsenal's calamitous second half continued. Giroud was bundled over in the area by Maitland-Niles and Hazard stepped up to send Cech the wrong way and surely put the game beyond the Gunners.
Alex Iwobi gave Arsenal hope with a sublime header with 23 minutes remaining, but it was too little, too late as Hazard scored again to see out the win and end the season on a high.
