Celtic could be set for some major transfer windfall this summer Lyon accepting they will lose Moussa Dembele to one of Europe's heavyweights - according to a report.
Dembele has taken to life back in his homeland like a fish to water since joining Lyon 18 months ago and has already netted 19 goals this season.
It's a continuation of the form he showed at Celtic between 2016-18, and he is thought to be on the radar of the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
Lyon knocked back several approaches in January as they were determined not to lose a key man mid-season, but reports in France say the summer transfer window will be another matter entirely.
According to daily paper L'Equipe, Chelsea have jumped the queue, having already opened talks over a move once the window reopens.
Rudi Garcia's side are said to have all-but accepted that he will leave come the end of the season, and will consider offers regardless of whether or not they qualify for the Champions League.
They note that the Blues saw a €40m (£33m) offer thrown out in January, and were preparing a second bid that didn't materialise.
It seems likely that they will table an improved bid when the window reopens if not before.
It's not confirmed what sort of fee Lyon are looking for but it does seem as if that bid will have to be significantly upped, especially with interest from elsewhere expected to hike the price further.
Celtic will be due ten per cent of whatever Lyon receive so will be hoping for a substantial offer to top up the £20m they have already banked for the striker.
