Chelsea will block Jorginho from joining Maurizio Sarri at Juventus

Chelsea have no interest in allowing Jorginho to join former coach Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.

Jorginho has been linked with a move to Turin following Sarri’s decision to quit Stamford Bridge for the Serie A Champions.

The midfielder has a close bond with Sarri having played under the Italian for three years at Napoli before they both switched to Chelsea last summer.

Jorginho, who cost £57.4m, was an integral part of the last campaign, making 57 appearances in total.

But he came under heavy criticism for failing to make a single assist and was targeted by opponents as a weakness.

His agent Joao Santos has not ruled out the possibility of the midfielder going to Juventus, saying: “Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest mentioned in the papers.

“His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional. Right now, Jorginho is happy at Chelsea. He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen on the transfer market. We’ll wait and see.”

But it is believed Chelsea see him as an integral part of their plans and have no desire to sell him to anyone.
