Chelsea vs Wolves: Maurizio Sarri discusses change in formation after Eden Hazard salvages point

Maurizio Sarri insists his late change of formation to salvage a point against Wolves was only due to the conditions of the game and a permanent change will not be considered.

The Italian substituted Jorginho late on after Raul Jimenez put the visitors ahead.

Eden Hazard's long-range hit in stoppage time earned a point for the Blues to boost their top four hopes, but Sarri insists the short-lived change was only due to the unique circumstances of Wolves' approach.

"For the first time, we were playing against a team that didn't want to play," Sarri said.

"They didn't counter attack in the last 20 minutes, so we had to try, I think.

"He (Jorginho) is really able to play at one-touch, if you need to play at one-touch, you need movement for 20 minutes.

"Then in the last 20 mins, we know Jorginho is not suitable for 4-2-3-1."

Sarri added that Jorginho can deal with the cheers heard after his name was announced to be substituted.

"He has a strong character and a professional player," Sarri added. "He has to play in every condition."
