Chelsea vs Southampton: Team news, TV details, channel and live stream information

Chelsea continue their Premier League campaign this weekend when they welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge following the first international break of the season.

The Blues' season so far has been varied, with victories against Brighton and Crystal Palace coming either side of a defeat to Liverpool and a 3-3 draw with West Brom.

Southampton, meanwhile, started slowly but picked up back-to-back victories prior to the international break after seeing off Burnley and West Brom.

Three points for either side this weekend would provide a significant boost for the coming weeks and we've got everything you need to know about the game collected here.

Chelsea stars in England training as Ben Chilwell withdraws

When and where?

Chelsea play host to Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with the game kicking off at 15:00.

Is Chelsea vs Southampton on TV?

Yes - but there's a catch. The match is the first this season to incorporate the controversial pay-per-view approach in the Premier League, with access costing £14.95.

Coverage will be provided by BT Sport Box Office, who will share pay-per-view coverage over the next few weeks with Sky Sports.

The controversial measure was announced by the Premier League during the international break, with only Leicester City voting against the proposal.

Team news

Chelsea may be without summer signing Ben Chilwell after he withdrew from the England squad on Tuesday, with it reported this was due to a re-occurence of a previous injury.

Timo Werner will also be assessed, after missing Germany's clash with Turkey last week due to illness, while Edouard Mendy is expected to miss out after picking up an injury while away with Senegal.

Hakim Ziyech could be in line for his Chelsea debut, after playing 31 minutes for Morocco during the international break before returning to London as part of the Blues' agreement with his national side.
