The revival of Chelsea’s season since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival goes on and the Blues can book their place in the semi-final of the FA Cup with victory over Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
Tuchel’s men have already secured safe passage in one cup competition this week, finishing the job against Atletico Madrid to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League and a fairly favourable draw in the competition will no doubt have them dreaming of European glory.
But for last season’s beaten finalists, the FA Cup also represents a major chance for Tuchel to end his first season in charge with silverware.
The Blades, meanwhile, are all-but relegated, currently sat bottom of the Premier League, 14 points from safety with just nine games left to play, and, like Chelsea, parted company with their manager midwway through the campaign, with Chris Wilder having left his post earlier this month.
