Chelsea will take on Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
That much is confirmed.
The Blues claimed a 2-1 aggregate win over Porto on Tuesday night to book their place in the last four, and with the quarter-final and semi-final draws taking place on the same day, they found out who they would be playing in the last four on Wednesday night, after the culmination of last eight fixtures.
Chelsea were drawn to face either Real Madrid or Liverpool with Los Blancos winning through to a first meeting with the Blues since 1998 thanks to a 3-1 aggregate win.
Blues fans do not have to wait long for the semi-final to come around, with the first leg due to be played on Tuesday, April 27 or Wednesday, April 28.
Confirmation of that date has yet to come through, but we can be all-but sure the date of that first leg clash thanks to Manchester City's fixture schedule.
City will play in the other semi-final, against Mauricio Pochettino's Paris Saint-Germain.
And Pep Guardiola's side have something of a nightmare fixture scenario, which will 'confirm' Chelsea's date with Madrid.
City take on Tottenham in the first cup final of the season - the Carabao Cup - on Sunday, April 25 - the weekend before the semi-finals of the Champions League take place.
And with City already set for a Sunday game, UEFA will not schedule them to face PSG on the Tuesday, just 48 hours after facing Spurs.
City will be handed the Wednesday night slot, away at PSG, with Chelsea - playing on Saturday, April 24 away at West Ham - to travel to the Spanish capital on Tuesday, April 27 as a result.
Given how the return legs then swap, Chelsea would be at home to Real Madrid on Wednesday, May 5.
