Chelsea vs Newcastle: Premier League score prediction, team news, line-ups, odds, live stream, what TV channel

Chelsea vs Newcastle
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Kick-off: 5:30pm GMT

Maurizio Sarri needs a win as Chelsea look to kickstart their season against Newcastle United.

The Blues currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, but are struggling for goals with Arsenal and a resurgent Manchester United breathing down their necks as the race for Champions League qualification begins to heat up.

Sarri's side lost the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final 1-0 at Tottenham in midweek, while a goalless League home draw against Southampton earlier this month may give Rafa Benitez hope that Newcastle can frustrate his former club at the Bridge.

Chelsea vs Newcastle team news and line-ups

Chelsea XI: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pedro, Hazard, Willian

Subs: Barkley, Caballero, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi, Christensen, Emerson Palmieri, Ampadu

Newcastle XI: Dubravka, Yedlin, Lejeune, Lascelles, Clark, Ritchie, Perez, Longstaff, Hayden, Atsu, Rondon

Subs: Schar, Murphy, Fernandez, Manquillo, Joselu, Sterry, Woodman

Referee: Chris Kavanagh (Lancashire)

Score prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle

The Blues have struggled in front of goal this season with fewer goals than any of the other 'Big Six' sides, but should have enough firepower to see off a struggling Newcastle side.

Eden Hazard has scored six goals and set up another in his five Premier League games against the Magpies at the Bridge, so back the Belgian to be a key one once again.
