Chelsea vs Manchester United: Live stream, odds, prediction and team news

Monday Night Football sees Manchester United travel to Chelsea in what has been billed as a season-defining.

It is the first of four huge home games with Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Liverpool all coming up in the next few weeks at Stamford Bridge in all competitions.

Speaking before the match, head coach Frank Lampard made it clear how important the next couple of home games are in the Premier League.

He said: "They are a good team, they have added some players in January.

"I do expect a tough game on Monday and it's a direct rival. With football that gap can chop and change. We are aware of the points, United and Spurs are big games."

Meanwhile, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has highlighted the importance of this crucial six-pointer as they aim for Champions League qualification too.

Solskjaer said: "Win gives us a three point gap, and that’s what we’ve got to aim for, played them twice this season and done well. Chelsea are a good team, at home but we’re gonna try and win the game, we’ve got to to give us more belief and more hope, we need to kick on."

Lowdown

The news from the blue-half of Manchester would have been warmly welcomed by Chelsea.

However, the pressure is still on to secure Champions League qualification as they are just two points ahead of Sheffield United in sixth, one point ahead of Tottenham and Man United are just six points behind them.

A win for Chelsea will help them boost their chances of Champions League now with Manchester City banned from European club competitions.

When and where?

The match will be on Monday (February 17) at Stamford Bridge.

What time is kick-off?

The match will kick off at 8pm.

Is it on TV?

Yes - you can watch the build up on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event from 7pm. Sky subscribers can stream the match live on Sky Go.

Score prediction?

We are going to go for a 2-0 to Chelsea. Neither side go into this match in the best form but I think Lampard's side will have enough to put in a solid performance against United.
