Chelsea vs Liverpool
Premier League 2019-20
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Date: Sunday 22 September, 2019
Kick-off time: 4.30pm BST
Chelsea face another stern test of their top-four credentials on Sunday as they welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge.
A big away win at Wolves last time out was an early statement for Frank Lampard, but Tuesday's home loss to Valencia will have brought the mood right back down at the Bridge.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are five points clear at the top after just five games - a record lead for this stage of a Premier League season - and could well replicate the 4-0 hammering Manchester United gave Chelsea on the opening day given their form.
Team news and predicted lineups
Chelsea will be without Mason Mount after he picked up an ankle injury against Valencia, joining N'Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger on the sidelines.
Callum Hudson-Odoi could be part of the squad after coming back from a long knee injury, while Reece James will be assessed ahead of kick-off.
For Liverpool, Divock Origi will be given a late fitness test and Naby Keita will be assessed before the weekend by Alisson Becker remains out.
Chelsea XI: Kepa, Zouma, Tomori, Christensen, Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kovacic, Alonso, Willian, Abraham, Pulisic
Liverpool XI: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane
Prediction: Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool
Liverpool are in blistering form at the moment and should have too much for Chelsea, despite a morale-boosting win away at Wolves last time out.
Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have, arguably, never been in better form for Liverpool and you wouldn't bet against them impressing again on Sunday.
