Chelsea were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Everton at Stamford Bridge as Maurizio Sarri set a new Premier League record in bittersweet fashion.
The home side were left to rue their lack of cutting edge as the game ended 0-0 following five minutes of added time.
Despite the stalemate, Italian Sarri became the first manager to avoid defeat in his first 12 Premier League games.
The result leaves the Blues third in the table behind Manchester City and Liverpool, while Everton remain in ninth place.
