N'Golo Kante will miss Chelsea's Uefa Europa League semi-final second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday with a hamstring problem.
The France midfielder now faces a race against time to be fit for the Europa League final, should Chelsea reach the May 29 showpiece.
Antonio Rudiger and Callum Hudson-Odoi are long-term absentees, but Gary Cahill has recovered from an Achilles injury.
Eden Hazard started on the bench last Thursday – a decision Sarri will feel was vindicated with the Blues returning from Germany in a relatively comfortable position in the tie and with the rested Belgian providing two assists at the weekend.
But with the pressure now off ahead of the final round of Premier League fixtures, Sarri may opt to start his star man this week.
