Chelsea vs Brighton odds: Frank Lampard's first home win and Mason Mount to score first

Frank Lampard is on the verge of getting his first home league win of the season - but needs to get it sooner rather than later.

With a heavily rotated Chelsea side thrashing Grimsby Town out of the Carabao Cup - despite an absolute stunner of a consolation goal from the League Two side - Lampard will be pleased to get his first home win under his belt.

But will he be able to get his first league home win against a Brighton side who are struggling to keep players fit?

The Pools spoke to football.london's Oliver Harbord before the game:

Recommended bets:

  • Mason Mount to score first - 5/1
  • Chelsea to keep a clean sheet - 11/10

Win, lose or draw?

Chelsea are still looking for their first win at home in the Premier League, and they should get it this weekend at 4/9 odds.

They will have more confidence due to the hammering of Grimsby Town in midweek, and should see off the Seagulls.

First goalscorer?

Mason Mount ( 5/1 ) has had an excellent start to the campaign and will be in the fold and keen for a goal.

He has been playing further forward on the left, and he will have a good chance to add to his three Premier League goals so far.

First card?

Fikayo Tomori is consistently keen to make an impression now that he has become a key fixture in the first team.

The youngster was a little eager in his tackle on Jordan Henderson which got him a booking last week, and he will likely pick up another.

Chris Kavanagh has shown only seven cards in his four Premier League matches he's officiated so the average suggests under 3.0 (6/10) might come in too.

Who is on penalties?

There has been a big discussion over penalties after Ross Barkley ( 11/4 to score anytime ) missed against Valencia in the Champions League, and Pedro (7/4) took one against Grimsby Town.

After Barkley’s miss it could mean Willian ( 21/10 ) or Jorginho ( 4/1 ) will take the next one in the league, however.

Will you keep a clean sheet?

Chelsea are yet to keep a clean sheet, which remains the big concern for the Blues and Frank Lampard right now.

Brighton have scored just five goals in their opening six matches, so Lampard will fancy his chances that the first clean sheet comes on Saturday at 11/10.
