Chelsea vs Aston Villa: Premier League 19/20 prediction, tickets, team news, TV live stream, H2H, odds preview

Frank Lampard is out to avoid a third straight Premier League defeat as Chelsea host Aston Villa on tonight.

Lampard has enjoyed a fine start to life as Chelsea coach, but back-to-back League defeats at Manchester City (2-1) and at home to West Ham (1-0) have soured the mood a little.

The Blues retain a six-point cushion in fourth place, but Lampard will be well aware that a resurgent Tottenham led by Jose Mourinho now appear to be their most realistic challengers for Champions League qualification.

Another problem for Chelsea is that Dean Smith's Villa side will be full of confidence having earned an impressive 2-2 draw at Manchester United on Sunday.

Premier League preview

Chelsea vs Aston Villa
Venue:
Stamford Bridge
Date: Wednesday, 4 December, 2019
Kick-off time: 7:30pm GMT

Prediction: Chelsea 2-2 Aston Villa

Following on from that 2-2 draw at Old Trafford, Dean Smith will surely encourage his Villa players to go to the Bridge to try and get a win - especially after watching West Ham leave with all three points on Saturday.

Smith should have Anwar El Ghazi back from a knee knock, though Keinan Davis and Jed Steer are both out.
