Chelsea v Bayern Munich prediction: This corner stat is a winner for Champions League tie

Chelsea have got it all to do at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Bayern Munich are odds on to triumph in the Round of 16 first leg clash, 19/20 with thepools.com .

Chelsea are a big 11/4 to take a first leg lead to the Allianz Arena.

Bayern's stats underline why.

The Bundesliga leaders have won 10 of their last 11 games in all competitions, won six out of six in the Champions League group games and scored at least twice in every game.

But there is one market we can 'corner' with some confidence.

Follow Chelsea vs Bayern Munich LIVE from Stamford Bridge HERE.

The corners stats feature some high numbers.

All six of Chelsea's group games had 10+ Total Corners.

In the Premier League this season, Chelsea are ranked second for overall corners won.

And Bayern have historically been a dominant corner winner in Europe. This season, all six of Bayern's group matches saw 10+ corners, with four of the six producing more than 14!

Thepools.com has a conservative over 9.5 market, but at 4/9 that's a safe bet .

Almost as safe is Robert Lewandowski.

The Champions league's joint-top scorer this season, with 10 goals from just five appearances, is 12/5 to open the scoring and 4/6 to score at any time .

Lewandowski is top scorer in the German Bundesliga this season with 25 goals in 23 games, has netted eight times in his last seven games in all competitions and has landed three First Scorer bets and six Anytime Scorer payouts in that spell.

Napoli v Barcelona

Over in Italy, Barca are 6/5 favourites to beat Napoli 23/10 .

But beware, Barcelona have actually won just one of their last eight away games in the Champions League Knockout rounds.

And Napoli come into this in good form, too, having won six of their last seven in all competitions.

The draw at 5/2 looks appealing here.

But stand out stat of the night is Lionel Messi's Evens Anytime Scorer price.

Leo warmed up with four goals against Eibar at the weekend, and with other Barca forwards like Luis Suarez out injured, Messi is the man carrying the goalscoring responsibility - effortlessly.

In his last nine knockout round appearances Messi has scored nine goals and can be relied upon to deliver again tonight.
