Chelsea transfer targets include Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Ben Chilwell… and replacing Kepa Arrizabalaga

Now a Champions League place is secured, the Frank Lampard revolution at Stamford Bridge can begin in earnest this summer.

Chelsea have already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner as part of a big recruitment drive to close the gap to Liverpool and Manchester City.

The Blues have stepped up their pursuit of Kai Havertz since sealing a top-four finish on Sunday, and are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over the 21-year-old midfielder.

Lampard is also expected to look for a new goalkeeper after he dropped Kepa Arrizabalaga for their crunch match against Wolves.

Chelsea have identified Ajax’s Andre Onana and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak as possible targets, although the manager has said that talks over the goalkeeping position and the future of Kepa will wait until after the FA Cup Final against Arsenal on Saturday.

Lampard is also attempting to shore up a backline that conceded 54 goals in the Premier League last season.

He is interested in Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell and has considered a move for West Ham’s Declan Rice as he seeks a new centre-half.

Chelsea will have to sell to help fund further arrivals. Michy Batshuayi and Emerson Palmieri are likely to leave, and there are questions over the future of Jorginho, who has been linked with a return to Italy with Juventus.

Pedro has agreed to join Roma but Lampard still hopes the club can reach an agreement with Willian to extend his contract to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond this season.
