Chelsea transfer rumours: Zakharyan statement, Barkley suitors, Barcelona eye Werner move

With January just a month-and-a-half away, Chelsea are expected to be deep in preparations for the transfer window.

With the African Cup of Nations and FIFA Club World Cup set to cause havoc to the Blues’ upcoming schedule, recruits might well be needed.

Fortunately, the Blues have already been linked with a number of names, whilst a couple of Tuchel’s current squad have also been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge in the near future.

Following the appointment of Xavi at the Nou Camp, the Spaniard appears to already be planning Barcelona’s transfer business.

According to reports in Spain, the Catalan giants are considering Timo Werner ahead of a potential loan swoop in January as they aim to bolster their attacking options.

The German isn’t the only potential candidate for Barcelona though, with Edinson Cavani and Raheem Sterling also thought to be on their shortlist.
