Chelsea transfer rumours: Rudiger claim, Giroud twist, Rice's agent change

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Monday evening as they face London rivals West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will be looking to return to winning ways after back-to-back defeats against Everton and Wolves.

Frank Lampard's main focus will definitely be on the packed schedule coming up, but he may have half an eye on the upcoming January transfer window.

With that said, here is the latest round-up of the transfer rumours and stories which concern Chelsea.

Rice's agent change

Declan Rice's new agent has emerged as a Chelsea supporter, according to a report from The Athletic.

Rice has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, and some reports suggest that the Blues are planning a raid for him in January.

The England international has recently appointed a new agent, which could have an impact on his future - his father, Sean - who is a Chelsea season ticket holder. Sean would surely have thought about his son making a return to west London one day, after being released by the club as a youngster.

Rudiger opens up on future

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has admitted he isn’t happy with his current situation at Stamford Bridge.

Rudiger has made just one Premier League appearance so far this season, and has now opened up on his future.

“I can’t be satisfied with my situation, but the fight has been accepted,” the German defender said to ZDF via Goal. “What will happen in January is a long way off. I’m completely relaxed.”

Giroud allowed to leave

Olivier Giroud would be allowed to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato via Goal.

Giroud has around six months remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge and has been heavily linked with a move away.

The France striker has been linked with Inter Milan, as well as MLS outfit Inter Miami, in recent weeks, despite his strong form for the Blues, which has seen him force his way back into Lampard's plans.

However, if Giroud is to leave Chelsea, he will have to request for the move himself, with the west London club not desperate to offload him, the report from Italy claims.
