Chelsea transfer rumours: Ruben Loftus-Cheek loan decision, Antonio Rudiger to PSG, Kepa exit

Chelsea will hope to return to winning ways in the Premier League tomorrow when they head to The Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion.

The Blues were beaten in their last league match last Sunday, losing 2-0 at home to Liverpool in a game that saw Frank Lampard’s side play the majority of the match with 10 men following Andreas Christensen’s first half red card.

Since then, Lampard’s side have booked their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a 6-0 win at home to Championship side Barnsley, a game that saw Kai Havertz score a hat-trick and get his first three goals for the club. Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell also made their Blues debuts on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea 6-0 Barnsley: Press conference with Frank Lampard

With a number of signings made already, a number of Chelsea’s players have been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge.

Here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Eight clubs eye Loftus-Cheek loan

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is being heavily linked with a loan move away from Stamford Bridge.

The Independent are reporting that eight clubs are interested in a move for the English midfielder who has seen injury disrupt his chances of minutes in recent years.

Aston Villa and West Ham United are said to be among the front runners to get Loftus-Cheek on loan, with Villa also keen on bringing in Ross Barkley on loan.

Loftus-Cheek is in need of guaranteed regular minutes if he is to stand any chance of getting back into Gareth Southgate’s England squad for next year’s European Championships.

Rudiger linked with French switch

The future of Antonio Rudiger is up in the air after the falling down the pecking order under Lampard.

The arrival of Thiago Silva has seen Rudiger less assured of regular minutes, and Thiago Silva’s former club, Paris Saint-Germain, are said to be interested in signing the German international on loan.

Rudiger has been linked with a move to last season’s Champions League runners-up by the Daily Mail and a love move seems like the most likely option at present.

Chelsea’s Kepa plan

Chelsea bolstered their goalkeeper ranks with the signing of Edouard Mendy earlier this week and it could lead to the departure of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Spanish goalkeeper has struggled for form in recent months and The Sun are reporting that the Blues are set to send Kepa out on loan.

The report states that Mendy will become the first-choice goalkeeper following his arrival at the club and that Chelsea will listen to loan offers for the goalkeeper they forked out £71.6m for two years ago.
