Chelsea transfer rumours: Paulo Dybala offered to Blues, January move for David Alaba

Chelsea's impressive start to the 2020/21 season continued on Saturday evening, as they came from behind to beat Leeds United 3-1.

The visitors took an early lead at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues fought back and came away with three points.

Frank Lampard's side have started the season well, but the manager may still be looking at improving his squad when the January transfer window opens in under a months' time.

So, today we have gathered the very latest Chelsea-related transfer stories and rumours from around Europe.

Hasselbaink urges Lampard to be 'selfish'

Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has urged manager Lampard to be 'selfish' and block any move for Olivier Giroud in January.

Giroud has been in brilliant form recently for the Blues - but his contract expires at the end of the season - and Hasselbaink wants him to stay at Stamford Bridge for the time being.

The former Chelsea forward said on Premier League Productions : "I don’t think they can afford to let Giroud go. Even if he’s not number one. Coming off the bench and making something different.

"I know that he is going to want to leave but I think Frank has to be very selfish there and say no."

Dybala offered to Blues

Juventus star Paulo Dybala has been offered to Chelsea, as well as numerous other Premier League teams, according to a report from 90Min.

Dybala's representatives are determined to secure their client a move to England, with the Argentina forward in and out of the team at Juve.

The 27-year-old has been offered to the Blues, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City, according to the report.

Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on Dybala, with Kylian Mbappe looking increasingly likely to leave in the future.

Blues eye January move for Alaba

Chelsea want to sign Bayern Munich defender David Alaba in the January transfer window, according to German outlet BILD.

Alaba has six months remaining on his current deal at the Allianz Arena and looks set to leave the reigning champions of Europe.

The Blues want to pounce on the uncertainty and get a head-start on any other interested clubs, by making a January move for the Austria international.

This would mean Lampard's side would pay Bayern a transfer fee - which would most likely be reduced from his actual value - but the Bundesliga giants would surely rather that than wait for him to leave on a free transfer.
