Chelsea transfer rumours: Olivier Giroud stance, Fikayo Tomori interest, Kepa allowed to leave

Chelsea continued their impressive recent form earlier in the week as they beat Rennes late on in the Champions League.

The Blues have now qualified out of Group E, recording their third win in the competition so far, and could top the group with two games remaining.

However, Frank Lampard's attention will now turn to the Premier League, with his side back in action against fellow high-fliers Tottenham Hotspur.

Also, with the January transfer window on the horizon, the Blues could look to strengthen once again - as well as potentially offloading some squad members.

With that said, here are the Chelsea-related transfer rumours from today.

Can Chelsea challenge for the title?

Blues willing to let Giroud leave in January

Chelsea are open to letting Olivier Giroud leave the club in January, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.

Giroud has struggled to cement a first-team place this season with Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham's form in front of goal.

Now, the Blues are willing to let the France striker if the conditions are right for them.

However, they may find it difficult to generate some cash from the deal with Giroud's contract set to expire in the summer.

Newcastle eye Tomori loan deal

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is a target for Newcastle United, according to the Northern Echo.

Tomori is currently out of the picture at Stamford Bridge, following the impressive form of Kurt Zouma and Thiago Silva.

According to reports, Steve Bruce is keen to add more pace to his back-line, and the 22-year-old certainly fits the bill - after demonstrating his blistering pace on many occasions for the Blues.

The Magpies are interested in a loan move for the English centre-back, and could make a move in January, if the report is to be believed.

Blues will let Kepa leave

Chelsea are willing to let goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga leave the club in the January transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano (via Sport Witness ).

Edouard Mendy was signed over the summer and has been backed by Lampard since his arrival, with Kepa dropping to the bench.

The report suggests that the Spanish shot-stopper views a potential departure from Stamford Bridge as a "solution" to securing more minutes in January.

The Blues paid a whopping €80m for Kepa back in 2018, but the Spain international has struggled to settle into the Premier League.
