Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the new Premier League season yesterday after a performance to forget against defending champions Liverpool.
The Blues will be looking to put together a run of form over the course of the coming weeks with matches against West Brom, Crystal Palace and Southampton taking place before a huge clash against Manchester United.
That should give Chelsea's plethora of summer additions time to get settled but there is still scope for Frank Lampard to complete plenty of business before the window closes.
Here, we have gathered some of the latest snippets surrounding Chelsea.
Edouard Mendy confirmation
Rennes head coach Julien Stephan has confirmed that Edouard Mendy will be leaving the club, as Chelsea are set to sign the stopper this week.
The 28-year-old has sealed a move to Stamford Bridge, where he'll be a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga, but fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation.
However, that is set to be imminent as Stephan confirmed the transfer when speaking to Telefoot: "We're looking for a goalkeeper, it's no secret.
"Edouard will certainly leave us to join Chelsea. In this position, we need to get someone in very quickly, I cannot give you names as there is nothing definitive."
Rudiger future in doubt
Antonio Rudiger's future at Chelsea is in doubt after he was left out of the squad that suffered defeat against Liverpool, the Daily Mail reports.
The Germany international was an unused substitute in the opening weekend's victory over Brighton and his omission from the squad entirely on Sunday has raised questions.
Rudiger has less than two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge but it's stated that there has been no movement to open negotiations for an extension.
With Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen ahead of him, and Thiago Silva arriving this summer, it's speculated that Rudiger could now attract transfer interest.
Fikayo Tomori hint
Frank Lampard has hinted that Fikayo Tomori will not be leaving Chelsea this summer, amid reported interest from Everton and Ligue 1 side Rennes.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a loan exit, with it suggested that Rennes were looking for an agreement as part of the deal that is taking Edouard Mendy to Stamford Bridge.
However, following Tomori's half-time introduction against Liverpool, Lampard dropped a hint at his plans for the defender.
"Tomori did really well and he hasn't played for a while. I hope he feels the trust in him. I have got confidence in him."
