Chelsea have had a mixed start to the 2020-21 Premier League season, sitting on four points after three games.
A lot was expected from the Blues after a summer of mass spending, with seven new faces coming in at Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea supporters may have to be patient as this new era under Frank Lampard begins - and there could be even more changes to the squad before the transfer window shuts in a week.
Here, we have rounded up the very latest transfer rumours concerning Lampard’s side from around Europe.
Blues to push forward with Rice deal
Chelsea are set to move forward with an approach to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice before the transfer window closes, according to the Evening Standard.
Rice has been heavily linked with a return to the Blues, after leaving the club as a youth player to join the Hammers.
Since his move to the London Stadium, he has earned himself a host of England call-ups and has established himself as one of the strongest defensive midfielders in the Premier League.
Now, according to the report, Chelsea are about to move forward with their attempts to sign the 21-year-old - who is reportedly valued at £80m by West Ham.
Inter given green light to sign Kante
Inter Milan’s ownership has given the club the ‘green light’ to sign N’Golo Kante from Chelsea, according to Il Giornale ( via Sempre Inter ).
Antonio Conte is the manager of the Italian giants, and he is reportedly keen for a reunion with the Blues midfielder.
However, in order to sign the 2018 France World Cup winner, Inter may need to offload some of their players beforehand.
Inter president Steven Zhang has told the club’s chief executive Giuseppe Marotta to get Kante, the report states.
Lampard on Rudiger future
Chelsea boss Lampard has been questioned about the future of defender Antonio Rudiger, amid links away from Stamford Bridge.
Rudiger has been left out of the matchday squad for the last three matches in all competitions and questions have been asked over the German’s future at the club.
However, Lampard was quick to play down talk of the former Roma defender leaving the club before the window closes next Monday.
When asked about Rudiger leaving the Blues, Lampard said: “I wouldn’t assume anything. I will make no assumption.”
