Chelsea transfer rumours: Marina Granovskaia's plan to sign Erling Haaland, Diego Costa reunion

Chelsea are busy preparing for a London derby against Arsenal on Boxing Day.

The Blues bounced back from the recent defeats against Everton and Wolves with a comfortable 3-0 win over West Ham on Monday night.

Off the pitch, the Blues were busy in the summer transfer window as they splashed out more than £200million on new players.

But now attention is about to turn to the January transfer window next month.

There are several reserve and young players that the club must make decisions on, while manager Frank Lampard may be eager to add at certain positions, too.

Here is a round-up of the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Frank Lampard on Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Arsenal's predicament

Diego Costa could leave Atletico Madrid

Diego Costa could leave Atletico Madrid in January, with the striker only having six months left on his current deal, according to reports.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Atletico have already decided not to offer Costa a new deal, which will allow him to leave on a free next summer.

If the striker leaves the Wanda Metropolitano next month, it could scotch any potential reunion with former club Chelsea, who play Atletico in the last-16 of the Champions League in February.

Marina Granovskaia 'plan'

Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia could look to raise funds for the transfers of Declan Rice and Erling Haaland by reportedly selling up to seven players in January.

Antonio Rudiger, Andres Christensen, Jorginho, Marcos Alonso, Ross Barkley, Danny Drinkwater and Victor Moses are all set to be moved on according to Sky Sports Italia, as cited by the Express.

Frank Lampard is thought to be a keen admirer of West Ham midfielder Rice and recently praised the England international for his subsequent success after leaving the club as a teenager.

“He's a fantastic player for West Ham and England so fair play,” said the Chelsea boss.

“Because his journey there after leaving Chelsea and going to West Ham is a good story to hear.

“Declan Rice has given himself personal credit for having the great start to the career that he's had at West Ham."

Leeds United told to sign Tomori

Nigel Martyn has urged Leeds United to make a move for Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.

The 23-year-old's development at Chelsea has stalled after dropping down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Brazil star Thiago Silva.

Tomori has made just three appearances this season after being a semi-regular last year and making his England debut.

With the Whites suffering from injury troubles in defence and conceding six against Manchester United, former goalkeeper Martyn argued that Tomori should be targeted.

He told The Boot Room: "If you can get a Chelsea player, they obviously don’t think he is rubbish.

"Depending on the injuries Leeds need bodies and better the quality – the better it is. If there’s a chance, go and get him.

"You’ve got to stop those goals."
