Chelsea transfer rumours: Marina Granovskaia eyes £8m Michael Olise release clause

Chelsea cruised through their third Champions League group stage game, with a 3-0 win over Rennes at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.

Timo Werner scored twice from the penalty spot in the first-half, before Tammy Abraham got the Blues ' third in the second period.

For manager Frank Lampard, it was another chance to see his new signings bedding in, in London, as they have been doing in the last couple of weeks.

There could be even more changes at the club when the January transfer window opens, and with that being said, here are the latest Chelsea-related rumours.

Gilmour determined to fight for place

Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour is determined to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for his place in the first-team, he has revealed.

The highly-rated Scottish midfielder was linked with a loan move away from the Blues in the summer, with opportunities in Lampard's new-look side looking more limited this season.

Gilmour told the Four Lads Had A Dream Podcast (via Goal ): "I have always said that my dream was to play in the Premier League and I got one step closer by signing for Chelsea. What made my decision was when you see all the players that have come out of the Chelsea youth academy and they are top players.

"Maybe they are not at Chelsea, but they are playing at top clubs, like Nathan Ake at Manchester City. You see the youth players coming through at Chelsea now. It is incredible, the youth setup is amazing and I just had to take the next step in my career and go and challenge myself again."

Blues target release clause

Reported Chelsea target Michael Olise has an £8m release clause in his Reading contract, according to Football Insider.

The Blues, as well as Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Leeds United, Wolves, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, AS Monaco and Napoli have all been keeping a close eye on the 18-year-old, according to reports.

The teenage sensation has started the 2020/21 season in fine form for the Royals, and this latest development is set to put a host of clubs on alert.

Olise has scored two goals and provided three assists in nine Championship appearances so far this season for table-topping Reading.

Spurs 'unlikely' to move for Rudiger in January

Tottenham Hotspur are 'unlikely' to rekindle their interest in Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger in January, according to Football Insider.

Rudiger has reportedly held talks with Lampard recently, where the Blues boss told the German defender that he could force his way back into his plans.

Spurs showed interest in their rivals' centre-half over the summer, but will not move for him again due to concerns over how much Lampard's side are demanding for his services.

Chelsea were reportedly asking for a multi-million pound loan fee, as well as Tottenham having to pay 100% of Rudiger's salary during his time in North London.
