There is no shortage of speculation as to what business Chelsea might do in this summer’s transfer market.
The Blues have already welcomed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to the club, having wrapped up their deal earlier on in the year.
And it seems there could be plenty more players following them through the door at Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard gets the chance to build his squad for the new season.
Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from Stamford Bridge.
Leverkusen update on Havertz
Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has given another update on Kai Havertz’s future amid rumours of a Chelsea move.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with an £80million move to Stamford Bridge, but Voller says it will take “certain conditions” for Havertz to leave the Bundesliga.
“I'd like to repeat myself by emphasizing that we're talking about a wonderful footballer,” Voller said.
“We have a clear and mutual agreement with him and his representatives that he can only leave under certain conditions. Otherwise he will stay.”
United to rival Blues for Chilwell
Manchester United could be set to rival Chelsea for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell this summer.
The Red Devils have Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams currently as options, but the Mirror believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side could make a move for the £80m-rated Foxes star.
Chelsea are thought to be unwilling to match the Foxes' valuation and would have to sell one of Emerson or Marcos Alonso before making a concrete move for the England international.
It’s unlikely they’ll give up any time soon though, with Chilwell reported to be Frank Lampard’s top priority this summer.
Bakayoko move hits stumbling block
Chelsea have been told they need to lower their valuation of Tiemoue Bakayoko as AC Milan look to sign the midfielder.
The Frenchman has spent the past two seasons on loan at the San Siro and Monaco, having suffered a disappointing first season at Stamford Bridge.
Milan are leading the way when it comes to signing him permanently, but Tuttosport report that they keep hitting the same obstacle when it comes to his €35m asking price.
Despite that, it’s reported that Bakayoko’s salary in Italy has been agreed upon, and the player wants to make the move.
