Chelsea transfer rumours: Jorginho contract claim, N'Golo Kante's Real Madrid 'dream'

Chelsea are back in Premier League action this weekend as they welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge.

It’s the Blues’ fifth league match of the season, and so far they’ve won twice, drew once and lost one game.

Frank Lampard’s side had a very busy summer window, and while it looks unlikely there will be any more additions before Friday’s domestic deadline, there are still rumours ahead of January.

Here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Blues ready to hand Jorginho new deal

Chelsea are ready to reward midfielder Jorginho with a new contract at the club, according to AreaNapoli.

Edouard Mendy injury news and who is likely to replace him

The Blues central midfielder was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer, with Arsenal and Juventus reportedly interested.

However, despite a late push from the Gunners, the Italian international was not interested in a move across London.

Now, Chelsea are ready to offer Jorginho a new and improved deal to stay with the club to reward his loyalty.

Kante ‘dreams of Real Madrid’

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid, according to Le Parisien (via Sport Witness ).

Kante was linked with a move away from the London club over the summer, but will be with the side until January at the very least.

The report states that the French midfielder’s relationship with Lampard has “gone cold” over the last few weeks due to a variety of reasons and he could be looking for a way out of Stamford Bridge.

The France international reportedly ‘still dreams of Real Madrid’, with Kante supporting the European giants when he was a child.

Partey’s father confirms Blues interest

Thomas Partey’s father Jacob has claimed Chelsea were interested in signing his son over the summer transfer window.

Partey joined Arsenal on deadline day after the Gunners triggered the £45m release clause in his contract.

However, according to his father, the Blues, as well as Juventus, were interested as well.

Jacob Partey told MyJoyOnline : “We were aware of the other teams that were interested: Juventus, Chelsea and so forth. From that minute, we started to dance to ‘Party after Party’.”
