Chelsea transfer rumours: Ethan Ampadu plea, Edouard Mendy blow, Michy Batshuayi decision

Chelsea have made some massive moves in the summer transfer window but there still may be some incomings and outgoings before the deadline.

The Blues landed the likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz ahead of the new season but Frank Lampard is not done tinkering with his squad.

Chelsea still have eyes set on new additions and players could leave to recoup some of the summer money spent.

In light of this, here is the latest transfer rumours round-up on Chelsea.

When Kai Havertz could join up with the Chelsea squad

Chelsea sent Ampadu transfer message

Wales manager Ryan Giggs believes Ethan Ampadu has a big decision to make at Chelsea.

The 19-year-old Welsh defender has not managed to break on the scene at the Blues just yet.

Giggs now believes he needs to potentially move away from Stamford Bridge to fulfil his potential, according to Sky Sports.

Mendy blow

Chelsea have been hit with a potential hammer blow in their race to sign Edouard Mendy.

The Senegalese goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as the Blues seek competition for under-fire goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea have signed Teddy Sharman-Lowe but are looking to add more talent at the position.

Lampard's men have had bids rejected for Mendy by Rennes and now The Sun say that talks between the clubs have hit a 'critical stage'.

Chelsea make Batshuayi contract decision

Michy Batshuayi is all-but-guaranteed to leave Chelsea this summer for pastures new but not in the way that fans might have thought.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a permanent Chelsea exit but it's looking more likely that he departs on loan.

Furthermore, the Blues are eager to hand the forward a new contract before loaning him out, with Crystal Palace, West Brom and Newcastle United keen, according to The Sun.
