The quick turnaround in transfer windows this year means clubs do not have that long to wait until the January market opens.
That means the rumour mill at Chelsea is still in full swing, especially with the domestic transfer window remaining open until Friday.
With that in mind, here are the latest Blues transfer rumours.
Rice to double West Ham wages
The Independent report that Chelsea retain an interest in West Ham star Declan Rice.
Chelsea were priced out of a move for the England international in this transfer window but remain keen to sign him either in January or next summer.
Yet the Sun report that the Hammers are set to double Rice's wages in an attempt to keep him at the club.
Atalanta midfielder eyed
If Chelsea continue to be priced out of a move for Rice, then they could target Atalanta's Marten de Roon.
That is according to the Express, who reveal that the Blues have identified the Dutch international as a cheaper alternative to Rice.
The 29-year-old is available on a free transfer next summer.
Moses set for loan
Football365 report that Victor Moses is set for a loan move to Spartak Moscow.
The wide man is not part of Frank Lampard's plans and looks set for another loan away from Stamford Bridge, having previously had stints at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.
There is still a week left in the Russian transfer window.
