Chelsea transfer rumours: Declan Rice bid, Ruben Loftus-Cheek battle, fresh Antonio Rudiger link

Chelsea have been extremely active in the transfer market this summer after splashing in excess of £200m on a plethora of additions.

The likes of Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner have been signed to provide a boost in the attacking third but the dramatic 3-3 draw with West Brom has shown that there is still work to be done.

Frank Lampard is far from finished in the transfer market, with the October 5 deadline looming and potential business seeing faces coming in and out of Stamford Bridge.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest snippets surrounding the Blues.

£40m Declan Rice bid

Chelsea are preparing a bid in excess of £40m for Declan Rice and are confident they will get their man from West Ham, the Sun states.

The England international has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge throughout the summer window and Chelsea are now ready to make their move.

It's specifically stated that the Blues are convinced they'll be able to get a deal over the line due to West Ham's dire position in the market.

The Hammers are yet to make any moves in the market and their business has been widely criticised, with the sale of Grady Diangana causing uproar.

Aston Villa fight for Loftus-Cheek

Aston Villa are eyeing a move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek as they look to bolster their midfield before the transfer deadline, the Daily Mail states.

Loftus-Cheek has seen opportunities in Frank Lampard's side limited, with recent signings knocking him further down the pecking order, and an exit could be on the cards.

The situation for Loftus-Cheek could be even more difficult if a deal for Declan Rice is secured but Villa are not alone in their interest.

It's added that Southampton and West Ham are also keeping tabs on the England international.

Milan eye Rudiger

Antonio Rudiger has been approached by AC Milan and is set to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window, Calcio Mercato reports.

The Germany international has been ousted from Frank Lampard's squad in recent weeks, increasing the likelihood of an exit from Stamford Bridge.

Milan are in the need of a defensive addition and Rudiger is among the players being considered, though they may find it difficult to find an agreement.

The Serie A side are looking for an initial loan deal, whereas Chelsea's preference would be a straight sale.
