Chelsea's impressive form at the start of the 2020/21 season can be partly put down to their busy summer transfer window.
The Blues spent more than £200million, with seven new players arriving at Stamford Bridge at the start of the campaign.
With the January window fast approaching, Frank Lampard could look at further reinforcements, as well as potentially offloading some players to try and balance the books in west London.
With that said, here are the very latest Chelsea-related transfer stories.
Lampard surprised by Silva contract talks rumours
Chelsea boss Lampard is surprised by reports suggesting Thiago Silva is in talks with the club over extending his contract.
Silva arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer on a one-year deal and has impressed so far - prompting rumours that he is set to extend his stay in London.
However, Lampard has played down those rumours: “Obviously the way he’s playing at the minute, we are very happy.
“So that’s the end of it really. I’m surprised it’s come out in that way. We have the option in his contract.”
Blues suffer Coutinho blow
Philippe Coutinho has ruled out a move away from Barcelona right now, amid links with a switch to Chelsea.
The Brazil international - who has previous experience in the Premier League with Liverpool - has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, as well as Arsenal and Juventus, but when talking to World Football, the Barca man offered an update on his future with the club.
“The Premier League is one of the most exciting leagues in the world. To have the chance to play there with a team like Liverpool will always be something I will feel grateful for," Coutinho said.
“It is impossible to say what might or might not happen in the future. But what I know is that right now my only focus is on being successful with Barcelona."
Inter Miami want Giroud
David Beckham is determined to bring Olivier Giroud to Inter Miami, according to a report from El Futbolero.
Giroud is currently the third-choice striker at the Blues, with Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner's form keeping him out of the first-team.
The report suggests that Beckham would be prepared to buy the France international a mansion in the best area of Miami if he does move to the MLS side.
So far this season, the Chelsea centre-forward has scored twice in all competitions, but has played just four times in the Premier League after signing a one-year extension on his deal at the club in the latter stages of the last campaign.
