Chelsea have endured a mixed start to the 2020/21 season, but with a number of big-name signings at the club, it could take them a while to settle in at Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard has spent more than £200million during the transfer window, and it’s unsurprising that they are yet to show their full potential.
With that being said, though, the Blues are still keen to bolster their squad before the deadline on Monday at 11pm.
Here, we have gathered the latest transfer rumours concerning Chelsea.
Hudson-Odoi in talks with Bayern over loan move
Bayern Munich are in talks with Chelsea over the loan deal of winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to Sport Bild.
The German outlet are reporting that ‘negotiations are in full swing’ between the clubs over a temporary move for Hudson-Odoi.
The Champions League winners were relentless in their pursuit of the Blues youngster back in January 2019.
However, the 19-year-old stayed at Stamford Bridge, but with a lack of game time for the teenager, Bayern have once again revived their interest in him.
Kante won’t be leaving Blues this summer
Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante will not be leaving the club this summer, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Speaking on the Tifo Podcast’s YouTube channel, Ornstein believes Kante will not leave the Blues this summer, with Roman Abramovich reluctant to let the Frenchman go.
Ornstein said: “Frank Lampard has spoken glowingly about how important he (Kante) is to his squad. And, to my understanding, Roman Abramovich loves N’Golo Kante and when he loves a player, he doesn’t want to let them go.
“Kante, furthermore, isn’t the sort of player who would rock the boat if he feels loved and being part of the plan.”
Blues set for late clear-out of players
With Chelsea spending more than £200m this summer, the club are now looking to offload a few players before Monday night’s deadline.
According to FourFourTwo, Antonio Rudiger, Fikayo Tomori and Marcos Alonso will all potentially move away from the Bridge in the next few days.
However, Kurt Zouma will stay at the Blues beyond this window, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a likely candidate to leave.
Jorginho - who has been linked with a move to Juventus and Arsenal - is likely to stay at the club.
