Chelsea transfer rumours: Blues battle Liverpool for £71m-rated ace, Ahmedhodzic interest

Chelsea are in tremendous form in the Premier League with Frank Lampard's men now unbeaten in their last seven matches.

The Blues were comfortable 2-0 winners over Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon, with the new signings continuing to show their improvement. Lampard and Roman Abramovich had a very busy summer transfer window, and with that, they could now look to sell some players in order to balance the books this January.

With that said, we have gathered the very latest transfer stories and rumours on Chelsea.

Blues interested in Chukwueze

Chelsea are one of a host of clubs interested in signing Villarreal star Samuel Chukwueze, according to Spanish outlet La Razon, per Sport Witness.

Can Chelsea challenge for the title?

The 21-year-old winger has an €80million (£71m) buyout clause in his contract with the La Liga club, and his form this season has attracted interest from a number of teams.

The report from Spain claims that Real Madrid are keen, as well as the Blues, Leicester City, Everton, Wolves, Manchester United and Liverpool. The latter two - the Reds and United - are Madrid's most serious competition, the report states, with the two Premier League powerhouses in the best financial position to afford the highly-rated attacker.

'Enormous' interest in Ahmedhodzic

Chelsea are one of four clubs with 'enormous' interest in Malmo defender Anel Ahmedhodzic, according to SportSport.ba.

As well as the Blues, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and AC Milan are all keen on the 21-year-old centre-back.

Malmo have now accepted that they won't be able to keep hold of Ahmedhodzic beyond next summer's transfer window, with interest from several clubs growing by the day, following his impressive form in the Swedish top-flight.

The report claims it's 'no secret' that interested parties are keeping constant contact with the Bosnia and Herzegovina international's representatives.

Rudiger opens up on future

Antonio Rudiger has hinted that he will stay at Chelsea, despite constant links with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The Blues defender made his first Premier League appearance of the season in the weekend's 2-0 win against Newcastle, and despite rumours that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge, the German has now opened up on his feelings regarding his future.

"I’m satisfied with how the situation has developed in the past weeks," Rudiger told German media outlet SID. "Now I see myself as a permanent part of the team. I had a tough time, so I also checked other transfer options but I received positive signals from the coaching team."
