Chelsea have hit the headlines with their transfer spending throughout this transfer window.
After taking charge amid a transfer ban in 2019, Frank Lampard has now been able to recruit some of Europe’s top talent.
The likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech will bring flair and excitement in attack, while Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva should bolster the backline.
If the Blues are going to have any chance of pushing for trophy contention this season, it will be crucial that those players have a big impact throughout the campaign. The same will be true of any others that come through the door, with Chelsea ’s business seemingly not done quite yet.
Here is the latest transfer news coming out of Stamford Bridge.

Mendy transfer ‘done’
Stade Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has reportedly joined Chelsea.
The Senegal international is expected to team up with Lampard’s squad as soon as his signing has been officially announced by the club.
That is according to Rennes manager Julien Stephan, who confirmed the transfer speculation on Saturday evening.
As quoted by FootMercato, he said: “We’re looking for a goalkeeper, it’s no secret.
“Edouard will certainly leave us to join Chelsea. In this position, we need to get someone in very quickly, I cannot give you names since there is nothing definitive.”

Conte still wants Kante transfer
Inter boss Antonio Conte is reportedly pushing for his side to make a move for N’Golo Kante.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side are keen to sign the France international who previously thrived under Conte during his time at Stamford Bridge.
The report also outlines the need for Inter to sell some of their current squad members before being able to afford to sign Kante.
As a result, a move for the Chelsea midfielder could come late in the transfer window when the Blues will have less time to find a replacement.

Jovic ‘rejected’ Chelsea move
Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign for Chelsea.
According to AS, the Serbia international had been a key target for the Blues before they eventually signed Werner from RB Leipzig.
The report also claims that Jovic rejected approaches from AC Milan, Napoli and Monaco, all of whom offered him a way out of the Spanish capital.
Nevertheless, it appears that the 22-year-old is eager to prove himself to Zinedine Zidane after an underwhelming first campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu.
