Chelsea transfer round-up: Leicester and West Ham eye Tammy Abraham swoop

Chelsea spent big last summer, bringing in the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz and Edouard Mendy.

However, things have not gone entirely to plan this season, with Frank Lampard sacked in January and replaced by former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea's form has improved under Tuchel and he is expected to make some new additions in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Blues have already been heavily linked with a number of potential incomings and outgoings and, with all that in mind, here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Tammy Abraham is reportedly considering his future at the club after he was left out of the squad for Chelsea's 1-0 FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City.

A report from the Guardian names both Leicester City and West Ham United as potential suitors for the 23-year-old, whose current contract is due to expire in 2023.

Blues learn Aguero's wage demands

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Sergio Aguero, who will depart Manchester City at the end of the season after ten years at the Etihad.

Although Aguero will be available on a free transfer, the 32-year-old will command a bumper wage packet and Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that he wants to earn around €12m (£10m) a year, which equates to around £200,000-a-week.

Erling Haaland blow

Chelsea have reportedly been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Erling Haaland, with a report from Spanish publication AS claiming that Manchester City are in the best position to sign the striker.

The report says Haaland favours a move to Real Madrid but the financial effects of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic have taken their toll on the Spanish giants, who would prefer the 20-year-old to stay at Dortmund for a further season.
