Chelsea transfer round-up: Eden Hazard set for return as Blues suffer Gavi blow

Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea side continues to impress.

The Blues got back to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 demolition of Leicester on Saturday.

First half goals from Antonio Rudiger and N’Golo Kante put Thomas Tuchel’s men on course at the King Power Stadium before Christian Pulisic added a third after the break to seal an imposing win.

But Blues coach Tuchel will want his side to keep improving and so the club could make big moves in the January transfer window.

One club legend has already been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge, although their hopes of signing one of world football's hottest young players appear to have suffered a huge blow.

Meanwhile a first-team player appears like he may be ready to commit his long-term future to the club.

Here are all the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Eden Hazard set for return

Chelsea could boost their Premier League title hopes by brokering Eden Hazard's sensational return to the club in January.

According to ABC, Hazard's current club Real Madrid want to cash in on the 30-year-old next summer, but would be open to sending him out on loan for the remainder of the season.

It could be a good opportunity for Chelsea to welcome him back to Stamford Bridge and insert an option to buy in his deal, the report adds.

Mount ready to commit

Mason Mount is reportedly ready to sign a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge after he was linked with a move away.

Man City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were all said to be monitoring the midfielder's situation following reports that he felt 'under appreciated' at the club.

But following a breakthrough in contract talks 'all parties are positive the deal on the table will now be accepted', Football Insider reports.

If he were to leave the club, Chelsea would value Mount at around £70m, the report adds.

Gavi blow

Chelsea have suffered a blow in their hopes of signing footballing prodigy Gavi from Barcelona.

The Blues were last week reported to be ready to pay the 17-year-old midfielder's £42m release clause, but the player reportedly 'doesn’t want to go’ to Stamford Bridge.

According to Spanish publication Sport [via Sport Witness ], the player is keen to stay with Barcelona and wants to sign a new contract increasing his release clause to ward off any potential interest in the future as well.

The report states: "Let no one worry. Gavi is not stupid and knows his future is at Barca."
