Chelsea transfer round-up: Dusan Vlahovic boost as new suitor arrives for Andreas Christensen

Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea may find themselves needing to enter the transfer market this month as the Blues boss looks to add some much-needed firepower up front.

With Romelu Lukaku in trouble for his comments about his summer move from Inter Milan, Tuchel may decide to bring in more cover in the forward positions.

And the Blues have been linked with another Serie A forward in Dusan Vlahovic – and the striker may fancy a move to Chelsea according to the latest reports.

It comes as several Blues defenders appear set to leave the club with their contracts expiring this summer – and deals for tow of them could be imminent.

Here are all the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Azpilicueta eyed

Atletico Madrid could swoop for Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta to replace departing full-back Kieran Tripper, it has been claimed.

Trippier, who Chelsea had reportedly been interested in signing following Reece James' injury, looks set to join Newcastle United after the two clubs agreed a fee for the England international on Tuesday evening.

And Atletico boss Diego Simeone reportedly wants to bring Azpilicueta in as his replacement, according to Spanish publication AS.

Atletico are said to be fond of the fact the Spaniard can operate at full-back and centre-back, and believe he could be available for a knockdown price this month with his contract set to expire in the summer.

Striker boost

Dusan Vlahovic "would only accept Chelsea and Manchester City " in order to move to the Premier League, it is claimed.

Tutto Mercato Web claims that Vlahovic wants to play in a team "that win titles and leads him to be one of the best in the world".

The report claims "it’s impossible to say no to some Premier League teams", although he would also consider a move to Barcelona or Juventus.

Bayern swoop for Christensen

Andreas Christensen has emerged as a target for German giants Bayern Munich, according to reports.

Christensen's contract expires at the end of the season and with no new deal at Stamford Bridge in sight, he is expected to depart come the end of the season.

The Dane has been linked with a move to Barcelona, but Goal now reports that Bayern Munich could make an attempt to sign him after being priced out of a move for Chelsea teammate Antonio Rudiger, whose contract also expires in the summer.

It's all part of the transfer merry-go-round with the Chelsea centre-back seen as a replacement for Niklas Sule, who will be free to leave in the summer when his contract expires.
