Sevilla issue Jules Kounde update
Sevilla president Castro has confirmed the club will sell Jules Kounde should they receive an appropriate offer for the defender, Football.London reports.
The Blues were heavily linked with the 23-year-old central defender over the summer, but were reluctant to pay the reported £68million release clause put in his deal.
Now, Castro has confirmed that Sevilla will allow Kounde to leave the club in January should the receive an appropriate offer – which may well involve his release clause being triggered.
The Sevilla president told Cope: "Jules Kounde deal? We're not going to change our position. If the proposal we receive is out of market, we will sell our players to sign new ones."
Saúl Ñiguez replacement targeted
Chelsea are being linked with a replacement for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.
Spanish midfielder Saul has been a disappointment at Stamford Bridge following his summer loan move to the club on transfer deadline day.
According to Calciomercato.it, the Blues could now target Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot in January.
The report states that the Blues are ‘seriously thinking about Adrien Rabiot to substitute’ the Spain international, who has also been linked with Newcastle United.

Erling Haaland snub
Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland could yet remain at the club despite being linked with clubs across Europe.
He reportedly has a modest release clause in the region of £68million written into his contract that will come into effect in the summer.
But Dortmund will be able to finance a big-money deal to keep the forward on their books as their highest-paid player if he changes his primary sponsor in January, according to AS.
The report claims that club chiefs have already drawn up plans to offer Haaland a lucrative multi-year agreement to remove his cut-price release clause and ward off any interested parties.
However, this will depend on whether he chooses to end his sponsorship deal with Nike and sign with Puma, who are Dortmund's long-term kit suppliers.
